Promoting Brain Health
The Brain Run is the primary outreach event and fundraiser of the MindShine Foundation. The 2020 Brain Run has been cancelled due to COVID-19
In 2019 we raised over $24,000 for mental health education, research, and awareness. The MindShine Foundation underwrites the cost of hosting the event so that 100% of registration proceeds can be donated to leading mental health organizations. The 2019 beneficiaries were the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, The Jed Foundation, and Mental Health Colorado. Both BBRF and JED were recently included in Forbes World Mental Health Day: 5 Effective Charities You Can Support.
We want to do more than raise money. By bringing people together for a common cause, we take a stand against stigma and spark important conversations about mental health.
The Mental Health Expo brings together more than twenty nonprofit groups focused on mental health education and resources. The Expo also emphasizes the importance of prioritizing exercise, nutrition, sleep, mindfulness and more to benefit brain health. The focus of the 2020 Expo is Turning Awareness into Action. Visit the Brain Run Action page for ideas on how to prioritize mental health daily.
We recently added candle sales to supplement our fundraising efforts and promote self-care. The Fire In The Sky candle collection was created to combine our passion for mental health and our love of sunsets and the outdoors.
We are donating 100% of the profits from each sale to mental health charities. Visit Fireintheskybymindshine.org to learn more.
Your generous donation will help us fight stigma, raise awareness of mental health issues, and emphasize ways to take action to improve and promote brain health! The MindShine Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all contributions are tax-deductible. Our EIN is 83-1208464.
